How we calculate team Rush goal %

Goal Anatomy reads the tracking frames before each goal and classifies how it happened: rush, odd-man rush, forecheck turnover, cycle, rebound, deflection, point shot and more. This is the rush plus odd-man-rush share.

Why it matters for fantasy hockey

Rush teams reward fast, skilled forwards; cycle and net-front teams reward big bodies and point shooters. It tells you what kind of player fits each team's system.

How to read it

About a third of NHL goals come off the rush, counting odd-man rushes. Well above that is a speed team.

Limitations

Tracking frames are missing for some goals; only classified goals count. Starts in 2023-24.
