NHL EDGE leaders

NHL EDGE tracks the puck and every skater many times a second. These boards rank the season's fastest skaters, the players who hit 22 mph most often, the hardest shooters, who spends the most time in the offensive zone and who covers the most ice, plus the single fastest skates and hardest shots of the year.

Season boards need a minimum number of games (about 20% of the schedule, capped near 15 GP), because a peak speed from five games is mostly one breakaway.

The Speed Signature badge

Across Edgehalla, a small gauge next to a player's name marks him as one of the league's fastest skaters. The arc fills to his top-speed percentile; the bar beside it shows how often he hits 22+ mph per 60 minutes. Bright teal is the top 10% (elite), darker teal the top 25% (fast). It only appears once a player has 15+ games of NHL EDGE data.

Elite: 24.6 mph, 99th Fast: 23.4 mph, 80th
