Trending adds: who fantasy managers are picking up

The NHL players whose average-league rostered % is climbing or sliding fastest, with the reason we can see behind each move: a line or power-play promotion, more ice time while a teammate is injured, or a Luck Meter signal.

Collecting data

We take one rostered % snapshot of every player each night. Trends appear once 3 nights are stored (2 so far); the 7-day view fills in after a week. Meanwhile, the Line Watch alerts and Streamer Finder show today's pickups by rostered %.

How it works

  • Every night we store each player's rostered % from the LineupExperts ADP and rostered feed, which averages ownership across fantasy platforms.
  • A player's change is today's snapshot minus the one 1, 3 or 7 days earlier. Moves under half a point are ignored.
  • Reasons come from our own tools: Line Watch deployment alerts from the last week, Who Benefits injury cascades, and Luck Meter tags.
  • The availability toggle filters by today's rostered %, or by your own Yahoo league when connected.

FAQ

What does rostered % mean?

The share of fantasy leagues, across the major platforms, where a player is on a team. It is an average-league number: in a deep 14-team league more players are rostered than in a shallow 10-team one, so treat 30% as "available in most leagues" and 80% as "probably taken".

Where does the rostered % come from?

From the LineupExperts ADP and rostered feed, which aggregates ownership across fantasy platforms. We store one snapshot of every player each night, so the 1, 3 and 7-day changes compare those snapshots.

Why is a player trending up?

Usually a new role. We attach the reasons we can see: a Line Watch promotion (moved up a line or onto PP1), extra ice time while a teammate is injured (Who Benefits), or a Luck Meter tag. Some adds have no tracked reason yet: a hot streak, a trade or news we do not cover.

Should I add every player on the risers list?

No. Risers tell you what other managers are doing, not what your team needs. Check the reason: a PP1 promotion or a long injury to a teammate is a real role change, while a two-game point streak with no new role often fades.

How do I see only players available in my league?

Use the availability toggle above the lists. "Available (avg league)" hides players rostered in more than your chosen share of leagues. If you connect Yahoo, "Available in my league" hides everyone already taken or on waivers in your league.

Why does the page say it is collecting data?

Trends need history. The page shows full 1, 3 and 7-day movers once at least three nightly snapshots exist, and the 7-day view fills in after a week.
