How it works

  • Who is moving: the 1-day and 3-day change in average-league rostered % (LineupExperts) and ESPN's own change, each scaled by how much that source usually moves. Windows where a feed recalibrated are dropped instead of counted.
  • This week: projected fantasy points over the rest of the fantasy week from the Streamer Finder (games, off-nights, opponent, line and PP1, goalie start chances).
  • Long term: rest-of-season points per game, plus role signals from Line Watch, Who Benefits and Risers.
  • The tag: demand decides. "Claim now" is a valuable player among the fastest risers (top 15% by momentum): other managers will claim him. "Grab after waivers" is a valuable player with no rush on him: he should clear waivers, so add him then and keep your FAAB. "Fading" is among the fastest drops.
  • We take ESPN's numbers hourly from about 2 to 6 AM Eastern and the average-league figure as soon as it refreshes, so the board is current when overnight waivers clear.

FAQ

When is the waiver wire updated?

Every morning between about 2 and 6 AM Eastern. We take ESPN’s rostered % every hour in that window and the average-league figure as soon as it refreshes, so the list is current when overnight waivers clear. The time at the top shows the latest update.

What do "Claim now" and "Grab after waivers" mean?

"Claim now" is a player with real value who is climbing far faster than normal (about +1 point a day in average-league rostered %, or +3 on ESPN): other managers are piling on, so he will not get through waivers. Spend the claim or FAAB. "Grab after waivers" is a player with real value and no rush on him: he should still be a free agent once waivers clear, so add him then and keep your FAAB. "Watch" is being added but has thin value so far; "Fading" is among the fastest drops.

How is "This week" different from "Long term"?

This week ranks by the fantasy points a player should score over the rest of your fantasy week: games left, off-nights, matchups, line and power-play role, and goalie start chances (from the Streamer Finder). From Saturday it switches to next week. Long term ranks by rest-of-season value plus role changes: a PP1 or line promotion, an ice-time jump, a teammate’s injury, or a rising Risers score.

Where does the "most added" data come from?

Two sources. The average-league rostered % (LineupExperts, across fantasy platforms) and ESPN’s own rostered % and recent change. Both are stored daily, so momentum compares like with like. Yahoo, Fantrax and Sleeper rostered % are not included yet.

Why is a player I expected missing?

The list only shows players rostered in 60% of leagues or fewer who are either rising or carry strong value, and This week only shows players with games left. Players without a projection are not listed. Use the availability toggle to hide players already rostered in your connected Fantrax or ESPN league.

Why would a riser not be worth adding?

Rising ownership tells you what other managers are doing, not what your team needs. A two-game point streak with no new role often fades; that is why every row shows the reason we can see behind the move and a value score.
