What this tool does

The playoff planner compares all 32 NHL teams over the dates of your fantasy playoffs. It counts total games, off-night games and back-to-backs so you can target players whose teams play the most, and the most useful, games when it matters.

How to use it

1. Enter the first and last day of your fantasy playoffs (it defaults to the final three weeks of the regular season).
2. Review the team table: more games and more off-night games mean more chances to fill your lineup.
3. Watch back-to-backs for goalies, since the second game is often started by the backup.
4. Use the results to plan trades and pickups before your league’s trade deadline.

Where the data comes from

The NHL regular-season schedule comes from the official NHL API and refreshes every few hours, so postponements and added games appear automatically. Historical rates describe what happened, they are not projections.

What is an off-night game?
