What this tool does

The roster planner lets you enter your team by hand and see each night of the week at a glance: who plays, who would be benched because your slots are full, and which nights leave empty slots you could stream.

How to use it

  1. Search for each player on your roster and add them; the roster is saved in your browser.
  2. Set your league’s lineup slots (C, LW, RW, D, UTIL, G) to match your settings.
  3. Pick the week you want to plan and review each night’s lineup assignment.
  4. Use nights with open slots as targets in the Schedule Optimizer’s Players view.

Where the data comes from

The NHL regular-season schedule comes from the official NHL API and refreshes every few hours, so postponements and added games appear automatically. Historical rates describe what happened, they are not projections.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect my league?
No. You add players by hand, so the planner works for every fantasy platform and never needs your league password. It does not import a roster. If you connect your ESPN, Fantrax or Yahoo league (free), your dashboard plans your real roster's games for the week instead. ESPN and Fantrax leagues work from any device. Public Yahoo leagues work from any device; private Yahoo leagues need our free Chrome extension on a computer.
How are lineups assigned?
Each night, players with a game are placed into slots by their primary position so that as many as possible are active; anyone left over is shown as benched. It maximizes starts, not projected points.
Is my roster saved?
Yes, in your browser on this device. Clearing site data removes it.
