NHL Blocked Shots per 60 Leaders

2017-18All situationsThrough 82 team games

This board ranks skaters by blocked shots per 60 minutes of ice time in all situations, so a fourth-liner who plays 9 minutes is compared fairly with a top-pair defenseman who plays 25. Players under the minimum-minutes cutoff are hidden.

A blocked shot is an opponent's shot attempt stopped by a skater before it reaches the net. Shutdown defensemen and penalty killers dominate, because they spend the most time in front of their own goal. Rates surface low-minute players who already produce; they are the ones to grab when an injury opens up ice time.

Leader in 2017-18: Kris Russell (EDM), 9.00 BLK/60.
