NHL Goalie Wins Leaders: New York Islanders
2020-21All situationsThrough 56 team games
This board ranks NHL goalies by wins, regular season only. Pick any season back to 2017-18 above the table.
A goalie is credited with the win when he is in net for the go-ahead goal that stands. Starters on good teams lead, and the totals follow starts more than save percentage. Wins are the one goalie category every league scores. Starts drive them: a workhorse on an average team usually beats a great goalie in a timeshare.
Leader for the New York Islanders in 2020-21: Semyon Varlamov (NYI), 19 W.

How to read it
Wins credited, regular season (overtime and shootout wins included).
How reliable is it?
Wins depend on team scoring and starts as much as on the goalie; save percentage and GAA say more about his play.
