How it works

  1. Projected saves per game from LineupExperts, times the chance the goalie starts.
  2. Summed over each player's games left in the window; games that have started drop out, so a second game counts in full.
  3. Ties go to the less-rostered player. Combine saves with other categories in the Catch-Up tool.
  4. Rostered % is the share of average fantasy leagues across platforms. For your own league's free agents, connect ESPN or Fantrax in the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Which goalies should I stream tonight?

Among players rostered in 50% of leagues or fewer, the top projected options for Sun, Oct 4 are Kevin Lankinen (VAN, 0.9 expected starts, 23 saves, 32% rostered); Stuart Skinner (WPG, 0.9 expected starts, 22 saves, 42% rostered). Check your own league's free agents with the Catch-Up tool on this page.

How many NHL games are left tonight?

5 games (Sun, Oct 4: 5). Sun, Oct 4 is an off-night with fewer than 10 games, so streamers are less likely to sit on your bench.

How are the saves streamers ranked?

Each goalie's projection per start is multiplied by the chance he starts each game (our goalie start model plus confirmations), adjusted for the schedule edge on wins, and summed over the window. Started games drop out. Rankings combine categories as z-scores, so you can weight or punt each one in the tool.

Can I see only free agents in my league?

Yes. Connect your ESPN or Fantrax league and choose "Available in" your league in the Catch-Up tool: players rostered in your league are hidden. Yahoo league sync is unavailable right now and plugs back in when it returns. Without a league, use the rostered-% filter.
