What Points: last 30 days measures
This board ranks NHL skaters by total points, all situations, over the last 30 days. Players under the minimum sample are hidden, and every row shows the games or minutes behind the number. Total points, all situations, over the last 30 days.
A short window is a small sample: shots, hits, blocks and ice time carry over from week to week far better than goals and points do. Treat a hot window as a lead to check, not a verdict.
The last 30 days show who is hot right now, which is what waiver decisions turn on. Points are goals plus assists, the classic scoring race. Top-line centres and power-play quarterbacks lead it most years. In 2017-18, 624 skaters qualify for this board; the median is 5 and Connor McDavid leads at 27.
