What Points: last 7 days measures
This board ranks NHL skaters by total points, all situations, over the last 7 days. Players under the minimum sample are hidden, and every row shows the games or minutes behind the number. Total points, all situations, over the last 7 days.
A short window is a small sample: shots, hits, blocks and ice time carry over from week to week far better than goals and points do. Treat a hot window as a lead to check, not a verdict.
The last 7 days show who is hot right now, which is what waiver decisions turn on. Points are goals plus assists, the classic scoring race. Top-line centres and power-play quarterbacks lead it most years. In 2020-21, 85 skaters qualify for this board; the median is 1 and Brock Boeser leads at 8.
