How it works

  1. Projected hits and blocked shots per game from Banger Environment Index + season projections.
  2. Summed over each player's games left in the window; games that have started drop out, so a second game counts in full.
  3. The hits and blocks are combined as equal-weight z-scores across all 148 candidates with a game in the window. Weight or punt either one in the Catch-Up tool.
  4. Rostered % is the share of average fantasy leagues across platforms. For your own league's free agents, connect ESPN or Fantrax in the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Who should I pick up for hits and blocks tomorrow?

Among players rostered in 50% of leagues or fewer, the top projected options for Mon, Oct 5 are Connor Clifton (BOS, 1 game, 3.4 hits and 1.5 blocked shots, 7% rostered); Nick Seeler (PHI, 1 game, 1.6 hits and 2.1 blocked shots, 8% rostered); Simon Benoit (PHI, 1 game, 2.6 hits and 1.4 blocked shots, 5% rostered). Check your own league's free agents with the Catch-Up tool on this page.

How many NHL games are left tomorrow?

4 games (Mon, Oct 5: 4). Mon, Oct 5 is an off-night with fewer than 10 games, so streamers are less likely to sit on your bench.

How are the hits and blocks streamers ranked?

Each player's projected hits and blocks per game are added up over the games his team has left in the window, so a second game counts in full. When one of our per-game models has already projected that game (hits and blocks from the opponent environment; shots, faceoffs and power-play chances where those models have run), it replaces the season rate for that game; otherwise the season rate is used. Categories are combined as z-scores across every streaming candidate, so you can weight or punt each one in the tool.

Can I see only free agents in my league?

Yes. Connect your ESPN or Fantrax league and choose "Available in" your league in the Catch-Up tool: players rostered in your league are hidden. Yahoo league sync is unavailable right now and plugs back in when it returns. Without a league, use the rostered-% filter.
