What Assists per 60: last 14 days measures

This board ranks NHL skaters by assists per 60 minutes of ice time, over the last 14 days. Players under the minimum sample are hidden, and every row shows the games or minutes behind the number.

A short window is a small sample: shots, hits, blocks and ice time carry over from week to week far better than goals and points do. Treat a hot window as a lead to check, not a verdict. A row needs at least 48 minutes to qualify, a bar that rises as the season goes on, so early leaders with a handful of games do not crowd the top.

The last 14 days show who is hot right now, which is what waiver decisions turn on. Per 60 minutes compares a fourth-liner's output with a top-pair defenseman's fairly. Assists credit the last one or two players to touch the puck before a goal. Playmaking centres and power-play quarterbacks on the blue line top the list, and secondary assists make the totals noisier than goals suggest. In 2026-27, 544 skaters qualify for this board; the median is 0.85 and Matthew Tkachuk leads at 6.73.
