What Assists: forwards, last 30 days measures
This board ranks NHL forwards by total assists, all situations, over the last 30 days. Players under the minimum sample are hidden, and every row shows the games or minutes behind the number. Total assists, all situations, over the last 30 days.
A short window is a small sample: shots, hits, blocks and ice time carry over from week to week far better than goals and points do. Treat a hot window as a lead to check, not a verdict.
The last 30 days show who is hot right now, which is what waiver decisions turn on. Forwards only, so they are not buried under the defensemen. Assists credit the last one or two players to touch the puck before a goal. Playmaking centres and power-play quarterbacks on the blue line top the list, and secondary assists make the totals noisier than goals suggest. In 2026-27, 352 forwards qualify for this board; the median is 3 and Connor McDavid leads at 20.
