How we calculate team TRN/60
From our possession chains: an attempt counts when it comes within 10 s of a turnover, recovery or faceoff win in the team's own half, in the same play. We count the team's attempts at 5-on-5 per 60 minutes.
Why it matters for fantasy hockey
Transition chances are worth more than cycle chances, and fast-break teams give their skilled forwards odd-man looks. High-transition teams also tend to allow more back, which matters for goalie starts against them.
How to read it
Higher means the team attacks quickly after winning the puck. Pair it with forecheck xG to see whether the offence starts in its own end or the offensive zone.
Limitations
Depends on the play-by-play logging recoveries and turnovers; scorers in some arenas record more than others.
