How we calculate team PDO

The team's 5-on-5 goals divided by shots on goal, plus one minus goals against divided by shots against, times 1000.

Why it matters for fantasy hockey

PDO is the classic regression flag. Skaters on a 1030 team are probably scoring above their talent; those on a 970 team are due for more.

How to read it

League average is 1000. Above 1020 or below 980 rarely lasts a full season.

Limitations

Elite shooters and goalies sustain slightly high PDOs, so not all of the gap is luck.
