How we calculate team DrEq/100

Every draw is scored as (win − 0.5) times the goal value of winning in that zone and situation. We add the team's centres together and express it per 100 draws, in goals.

Why it matters for fantasy hockey

Faceoff wins are a category in many leagues, and Draw Equity shows which teams turn them into chances. Offensive-zone draw wins on the power play matter most.

How to read it

Positive is good. because wins and losses mostly cancel out, team values are small fractions of a goal per 100 draws, which is why faceoffs matter less than people think.

Limitations

The value comes from the win rate; what happens after the draw is mostly not repeatable. Totals are small next to shot-based stats.
