What Team Goals measures

This board ranks every NHL team by goals, regular season only. Pick any season back to 2017-18 above the table; each team links to its own players' goals. Goals scored by the team, regular season; per game uses team games played.

Team scoring mixes shot volume with shooting luck; expected goals (team xGF%) separate the two.

Team goals add up every goal scored by the team's skaters and goalies, empty-netters included and shootout winners excluded. The top offences score well over three a game. In 2022-23, 32 teams qualify for this board; the median is 261 and Edmonton Oilers leads at 325.
