We combine goal and assist projections, factoring in line placement, PP usage, opponent strength, goaltender quality, and historical scoring rates to estimate total points for each player.
Connor McDavid, Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, and Leon Draisaitl consistently lead NHL scoring. These elite producers appear at the top of projections when they have favorable matchups.
Elite players average 1.2-1.5 points per game over a season. On any given night, projections of 0.8-1.2 points indicate a good matchup for a star player.
Generally yes, but consider matchup context. A star facing an elite goalie may have lower actual upside than a streamer facing a struggling backup netminder.
