Frequently Asked Questions

Faceoffs lost scale with how many draws a player takes. A top-line center taking 20 a night loses more than a fourth-liner taking 6, even at a better percentage.

Over the rest of a season they are well calibrated. Over a single week they are noisier: in one weekly window of our backtest a naive per-game rate did slightly better.

Those centers cost the most in leagues that penalise lost faceoffs, and they are mostly the busiest centers. A fewest-first list would be topped by players who barely take draws. Click the column to flip it.
