NHL Projected Shutouts - Rest of Season - Rest of Season
Shutouts are fantasy hockey's ultimate goalie achievement. Our projections identify which goalies have the best shutout potential this season based on opponent scoring rates, team defensive strength, and goalie form. Elite goalies facing struggling offenses offer the best shutout odds.
What makes a shutout? A shutout occurs when a goalie allows zero goals for the entire game (minimum 60 minutes). Shootout goals don't count against shutouts.
Shutout probability factors
- Opponent offense: Bottom-10 offenses get shut out more often - Goalie quality: Elite goalies have higher shutout rates - Team defense: Good defense limits high-danger chances - Game script: Blowout favorites play defensive hockey late
Shutout odds
NHL-wide, about 6-7% of games end in shutouts. Elite goalies facing weak offenses may have 10-15% shutout probability.
